Power flushing uses a high-flow pump and specialist chemicals to clean sludge, rust, and debris out of radiators, pipework, and the boiler heat exchanger. Over time that contamination builds up in older systems and starts blocking circulation, especially at the bottom of radiators and through narrow passages inside the boiler. The result is cold spots, kettling noises, slow warm-up times, and repeat breakdowns.
Common signs your system needs a flush are radiators cold at the bottom, some rooms heating far slower than others, noisy pipework, or a new boiler going onto an older system with dirty water already in it. After a proper flush we refill with clean water and add inhibitor to slow future corrosion.
We do not recommend a power flush on every job by default. Some systems only need a chemical clean and a magnetic filter. We will tell you straight what condition the water is in and what level of cleaning actually makes sense before quoting.
